About Moshakha
Moshakha publishes buying guides, how-to guides and product reviews for car care and accessories — paint and interiors, wheels and tyres, and the tools, chemicals and gear that go with them. We started with microfibre because it is the category where marketing claims and reality drift furthest apart. It turned out not to be unusual.
Why this site exists
Car gear has an unusual problem: almost every category is sold on a single headline number that does not predict performance. Microfibre is sold on GSM, which measures density rather than quality. Jump starters are sold on peak amps, which no two brands measure the same way. Dash cams are sold on 4K, when the sensor decides whether you can read a number plate at night. Pressure washers are sold on PSI, when flow rate does the cleaning. The pattern repeats everywhere we look.
We started Moshakha to write the guide we wanted when buying our first proper drying towel: one that explains what the number on the label actually does, then tells you what to buy. We now apply the same test to everything else that goes in or on a car.
How we research
- Specification analysis. What each published number actually measures, and whether it predicts anything you will notice in use.
- Hands-on use where we have the product, described as hands-on use.
- Aggregated long-term feedback where we don't — looking specifically for failure patterns after 20+ washes, which is where cheap microfibre falls apart.
- Re-checks. Guides carry a last-updated date. Products get discontinued and reformulated; a guide that never changes is a guide nobody maintains.
We are explicit on every page about which of these applies, rather than implying testing we haven't done.
How we make money
