When you click a link on this site that goes to Amazon and you buy something, Amazon may pay us a small percentage of that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.
How to spot an affiliate link
Every affiliate link on this site is marked up with rel="sponsored nofollow", and any page containing affiliate links carries a visible disclosure near the top. Buy buttons that lead to a retailer are affiliate links. Links to manufacturer documentation, standards bodies, or other editorial sources are not.
What commission does not buy
- No brand pays for placement. We do not sell positions in our rankings, and we never have.
- No sponsored posts. We do not publish brand-written or brand-approved content.
- Commission rate does not affect ranking. Some categories pay better than others; we do not steer recommendations toward them.
- We will tell you not to buy. Where a cheaper product wins, or where the honest answer is "you don't need this", we say so.
Our testing and research standards
Our recommendations are based on hands-on use where we have it, and on structured research — manufacturer specifications, material and construction analysis, and aggregated long-term owner feedback — where we do not. We tell you which is which on each page rather than implying lab testing we haven't done.
